For those who can’t play, please help us meet our goals by donating at www.warriorbuilt.org.
We’re blessed to live in a country with opportunities, and we feel it’s only natural for us to be involved with our community and share our success.
ICON is committed to provide our time, expertise and resources to organizations who can demonstrate a specific need for our help, have a plan to make (or are already making) an impact on the community, and have a method of measuring the impact produced by their work.
We give preference to organizations that support Veterans, and we support organizations across all 50 states.
Community Vision
ICON’s vision is three-fold:
Supporting Younger Unemployed Veterans Return to Work
According to PBS, 21.4% of American veterans ages 18-24 are unemployed. We hope to reduce the unemployment rate for these veterans. We help to achieve this goal by supporting organizations that focus on helping younger veterans return to work through on-the-job training, career counseling, or job placement programs.
Supporting Homeless Veterans with Access to Mental Health Resources
The second part of our community vision is to decrease the number of homeless Veterans in America. The U.S. Department of Veteran Affairs estimates that approximately 131,000 homeless veterans are sleeping on the streets at any given night. This is unacceptable.
Many of these men and women who swore an oath to lay down their lives for our country ( approx. 45%) suffer from mental illness and do not have adequate access to health care or rehabilitation centers that can make a meaningful difference in their lives.
Other Community-Based Initiatives Non-Veteran Related
Third and finally, although Veteran-based programs will received a weighted preference for support from ICON, we are accepting other non-veteran based program support applications.
